This is my grandparents original homestead house. It was built ages ago, but we just completed a full rebuild on it from the walls, to the flooring, to the Heating system to the carpets and paint and furniture and curtains ...I mean everything...and it turned out so cute! It is a 3 bedroom with the master and second bedroom located at one end of the house with a shared bathroom ( tub and all) a living room, a dinette, a large kitchen, a laundry and mud/ski room, and then an office turned extra ( 3rd bedroom) with a small bathroom/toilet. It is quite large ( about 2200 sq ft) and faces a 6 acre meadow looking towards a gorgeous range of mountains and the No. Fork of the Colorado river--the whole 6 cares being owned by me and known as the Lorens Ranch. The fishing is private and just for my guests! Wildlife, such a deer, elk, and moose are prevalent on the property.Dogs are very much welcome and love running the meadow to the river. We include canoes and firewood. We have an outdoor fireplace and fire pit for you too. There are lounge chairs and swings all around the river for your pleasure and we are easy to access for winter snowmobilers and skiers. Plus we have lots of space for parking all your toys. The furnishing are top flight and brand new or reupholstered antiques. The linens are all Egyptian, high thread count and brand new mattresses too. We have an on-site caretaker for your every need and we pride ourselves on having the best service, cleaning and trustworthy care in Grand County. WE ARE CONSIDERING LONGER RENTALS THIS YEAR DUE TO COVID AND WE ARE FOLLOWING ALL CDC GUIDELINES.

Quiet and open

Very clean, spacious and lots of outdoor room! We really enjoyed our stay and the kayaking was terrific!

Thanks Jon. We measure our social distancing in acres around here. Ha. Ha. Tracee/owner

Perfect getaway!

We came to Lorens Ranch to unplug for my fiancé’s birthday weekend. The cabin was perfect and just what we needed! The linens were great and we loved having the fireplace right outside the cabin. We utilized the free canoes to go on the lake which was super convenient. The cabin was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and pretty much everything you need to cook meals (there was no salt and pepper though). The only downside of this location was that this specific cabin within Lorens Ranch is directly on Highway 34– you’ll definitely hear all of the cars passing by and if there’s construction, you’ll hear that too. This place is dog-friendly, but there is no fence between the property and the highway. Otherwise, this was an amazing spot for our weekend getaway!

Thanks Kylie. We just totally renovated this farmhouse and you are only the 2d guest. I'll get salt and pepper asap. To fence I'd have to fence 7 acres and I just don't have the money for that. Please come back. Tracee/owner
